Editing that sharpens what you’ve got

Okay, so you’ve written down what you want to say. And now you’re stuck.

Maybe you’re so sick of writing you can’t even bear the thought of reading them again, let alone changing them.

Maybe you love your words so much you can’t bear to change a single sentence. You know you should, but you just can’t bring yourself to do it.

Or maybe you’ve actually rewritten the copy a dozen times. And it’s still not the way you want it.

Sound familiar? Well, don’t worry. Sharper Copy can help.

When you send your copy to me, I look at it with both a fresh perspective and a critical eye. And then I make the changes you can’t bear to make yourself.

Whether it’s a major overhaul or just dotting the i’s and crossing the t’s, I can take what you’ve got and make it… well, sharper.

I change the words, not you

Your company is unique. It has its own style and personality. And your copy should reflect it.

So the last thing you want is for it all to disappear in the editing process.

Believe me, I understand. I hate bland copy as much as you do. And so when I edit your copy, I only change the words.

I can even suggest ways to enhance your company’s style and personality even more.

(Or course, if you want original copy to show off your company’s style and personality, I can create that too.)

You make the final decision

I want to make your copy as good as it can possibly be. But what I think is good may not be what you think is good.

That’s why I leave the final decision to you.

After making a backup of your original copy, I use Microsoft Word’s tracking feature so you can see exactly what I’ve changed. And if I make a change that doesn’t seem obvious, I’ll add notes to explain why I did it.

So not only do you see every change I’ve made, you get to accept or reject them.

After all, they’re your words. I’m just trying to make them better.
